The 2011 National Neurotrauma Symposium, including the AANS/CNS Section on Neurotrauma & Critical Care, took place in Hollywood, Florida with a record 667 onsite attendees from 25 different countries. 367 abstracts were submitted, with 112 of these submitted as part of the Student Abstract Competition.

The Neurotrauma 2012 Symposium is expected to have 600-650 delegates representing every sub-specialty within the neurotrauma community.
